It Doesn't Pay To Break The Law

On Thursday, February 9th a high speed chase in Florida resulted in one teen dead and another injured. The 16 year old male who did not yet have a license was involved in a high speed chase while driving a stolen car with a 15 year old female passenger in the back seat. After attempting to flee from police, the car skidded off the road and came to an abrupt stop hitting a tree. Officers then continued to move towards the convict with weapons on hand and remove the male from the flaming vehicle. He was immediately arrested and is now being charged for: Aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer, aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude resulting in a death, manslaughter, and driving without a license resulting in a death. While still on the scene of the crash, the 16 year old informed no one of the passenger who was still in the burning car. Officers noticed the other body in the vehicle and begun extinguishing flames to safely remove her. She was brought out unresponsive and in critical condition and was airlifted to the nearest hospital. Despite all efforts the 15 year old girl died in the hospital as a result of an irresponsible driver and herself being irresponsible. This just comes to show how irresponsible and careless teens can be;  careless enough that it costed a young girl's life. (globalnews.ca)
